Dlink Logs
« on: December 22, 2013, 07:37:16 PM »

I read on the website
http://www.dlink.com/be/fr/home-solutions/connect/routers/dir-850l-wireless-ac1200-dual-band-gigabit-cloud-router

Stay informed and protected with mydlink™
This router gives you complete control by allowing you to monitor who is connecting to your network, which sites they are visiting and block unwanted visitors. You can monitor your home network remotely through the mydlink™ web portal or by downloading the free mydlink™ app available for your iOS or Android devices.

But when I open the manual. I can not find this on the manual.
Please tell me in which part I must read on the manual ?

and I hope is good/ clear and the logs can be saved on Harddisk attached on the USB port.
the logs is better than the Syslog and statistics shown on the manual. which mostly did not need by many user, unless they found problems

the logs are collected on the router and located by logging into the routers web page under Status/Logs. You can have the router email you these logs are manually save them to your PC. These logs are for diagnostic purposes and do other logging if you set up access control features to log user activity for those features it supports. mydlink is for remote web access to the router using mydlink.com and you can register with the site first to create the account then log into the router and register the router with mydlink.com under Setup/mydlink with the mydlink.com site.

I don't...I don't use Access Control much for my needs.

There is limited logging and I think only collects sites visited by which device I believe.
