Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?
  • Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
  • Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
  • What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?

There are a few articles regarding WOL in the FAQ Lib: Router FAQ

Also a discussion was being held here:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=57930.0

IT's also possible the WOL may not be officially supported on these routers...I recommend that you phone contact D-Link support on the PHONE to find out.

Hey there,

Did you get a chance to look at my WOL guide for the DGL-4500?   It's slightly different interface, but the tips are the same.

No, my router was an older gaming router.  That's okay if you can't find that step.

The most important things are:

1. Knowing the Mac Address of the computer you are trying to wake up
2. Setting up DHCP reservations of that computer
3. Enabling the bios to wake up from such an event
4. Enabling the ethernet driver to wake up
5. Forwarding the correct port to the correct reservation
