what is the working frequency range
« on: July 08, 2009, 08:37:21 PM »

Since the DIR-855 is work at 5GHz range. But is not common to just mention like that.
At 5GHz, there got 3 differents working frequency band, UNII low, UNII medium, & UNII upper.
Please advice about the DIR-855 working frequency.
The product spec doesn't state the range.

5.15-5.825 is listed in the technical specifications in the back of the manual.  In other words the entire U-NII band is available (to the radio).

The channels listed in the emulator are below, with their frequencies.

ChannelListed Frequency
365.180
405.200
445.220
485.240
1495.745
1535.765
1575.785
1615.805
1655.825

You will note from this list however that this device is only using the U-NII-low and U-NII-upper bands in software.  This is undoubtedly because of DFS regulations that were passed in the not too distant past.

I am removing the poll as it is useless to us, this is a question of fact not opinion.

*** Modified by Fatman because he forgot to add the bit about DFS.
