Xbox 360 not connecting to the internet.
« on: October 26, 2010, 02:49:54 PM »

I have a DIR-655 router, firmware version 1.05.

I have had this router for close to 2 years now and had no problems with it so far. My brother plays the Xbox 360 over wireless and just a couple days ago he said we had a small brown out in our area and ever since then the Xbox 360 has been unable to connect to the network.

When I try to test the Xbox Live connection it says "Can't detect your network hardware". When I look at the wireless adapter on the Xbox it has a steady red light.

*Just a side note, all other devices on the network connect to the internet no problem, only the Xbox is having problems.

I found my answer from another forum, turns out my back USB port is dead on my Xbox 360.
