I tested from different pc with internet explorer and chrome , enabling java and NPAPI , but the result was the same .
What can be the solution?

  • What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

This happen on a different PC?

PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations
  • Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
  • Turn off all devices accept for one wired LAN PC while testing.
  • Disable any downloading client software managers, i.e. Torrents or similar.

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.

Don't know what happened to my comment - probably deleted by mods as it is critical of DLink...sad

DLink have "tweaked" the MyDlink browser page - if you haven't already checked.

Please keep on topic. Inflammatory comments are of no use to anyone nor does D-link actively look here in the forums. Only when mods inform someone do they come to the forums for review. If we can't help resolve issues here in the forums then we ask users to phone contact there regional D-Link support offices and talk to someone for immediate help.

Thank you.

Point one - it was on topic but contained criticism and if members are not allowed to be critical then what's the point of being in business or having a forum?
Point two - Criticism is not defined as inflammatory (reads the link http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/criticism )

Enjoy your day

try installing the Uplayer plugin

Chrome disabled Java and I believe (but cannot confirm because of how DLink and this forum operate) that DLink have tweaked the application (web browser) to utilise UPlayer instead of Java.

Although Chrome still shows a warning that UPlayer will be unsupported soon.

I have both Chrome and IE but with having installed 20150618_Uplayer.msi both worked

I then tried a version of FF and it needed 20150618_Uplayer.msi before I could access my device and it's folder.

Would it be inflammatory to state that it would have been nice and informative if DLink had notified it's users of both the need for Uplayer plugin and the change to the web layout etc

For anyone that needs the plugin and has disabled/blocked it - you can download from my Mega account https://mega.co.nz/#!uZcEiTLK!a8OVHDhq7Y5AT9nztysugJAY5GG3awYzfP5BXvJl_YA

Each region handles there own sites and development differently and does different things and changes at different times. Sometimes we don't even change things I think. Just depends on what each region does and what public information can be released. Not all information can be made public.

Thank for your information and feed back. Hope it helps users. Users should phone contact there perspective D-Link support offices to inquire about web site changes and supported plug-in information.

Good Luck.

This is where we will disagree.

I cannot accept that in the way it is written.  The only difference would be for language variations.  It doesn't make any viable commercial sense to produce  NAS devices that have different software variations.  The WWW is just that World Wide Web meaning it's global.

Quote
Not all information can be made public
The majority of what DLink programmers do for NAS and the web applications has zero security issues except for hacking.  Notifying customers/owners of NAS devices about a change to the web page/layout/tools would IMHO would be commercially acceptable.  The only (and I mean only) notifications I can find of their facebook page are about scheduled maintenance (meaning access will be unavailable or intermittent) or App updates - not everyone has facebook.

Quote

This is a standard response found on many of the questions on this forum.  IMHO (and personal choice) phoning support would be expensive and because DLink produce products that are "internet friendly" support should therefore not be restricted to phone but should have web access.

As we have already clarified - we will always disagree and I'm not allowed to criticise DLink which seems a sad choice by the mods but I will always (even if you think my response is negative) give help and advice where I can.

so this problem is still unsolved?
I'm from Italy, and I'm using firefox and chrome on different pc (someone still use IE????  ;D )

before the new entry "uplayer" , everything works fine, with both FF and Chrome. But as I was forced to install this plugin, I can't connect anymore to my NAS from web, the page "applications" continues to show "loading" like forever...  :-\

something has changed in my configuration??? yes, as said before, I installed "uplayer"...

hoping this issue will be solved soon.
