Title: Upgrading firmware bricked my router
Post by: jabol on January 27, 2019, 04:23:42 PM
Hi,

I've tried to upgrade firmware via browser UI. After a while i've get success message but my router didn't restart automatically.
After switching it on and off it just hunged.
After struggling with getting recovery mode works, i get to the point when i'm receiving page with progress counter.
After some time page displays "Upgrade successfully!" but my router doesn't restart. I tried to wait several minutes more but nothing is happening - still one amber diode is flashing.
I've tried to use all firmware versions  even dd-wrt one (factory-to-ddwrt.bin) - same results :(

Please help!

Please give this a try:
 Emergency Recovery Mode (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.msg163599#msg163599)

IF this fails, you'll need to contact D-Link support to see if an RMA is available.
