DNS 343 Recycle Bin and What is .Systemfile
« on: July 27, 2017, 05:59:57 PM »

I have been trying to figure out if there is a recycle bin installed on my dns 343.  The messages in the forum about logging into the management network shares don't seem to fit my webshare application.  I can't find those choices.  There is a .systemfile directory that seems to duplicate all of the files on the dns 343.  Is that a recycle bin.  Can I delete those files?  Does it matter.

While I'm not have the same problem, I, too, would like to know what the .systemfile directory is for.  I'm performing backups of the contents of my DNS343 and this folder cannot be accessed.  I have excluded it from the backup to prevent the backup from completing with errors but I would still like to know what I'm missing.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. USA support and chat 24/7 as well.
Let us know how it goes please.
