Hi all. Hopefully a simple question for the experts: I have a TP Link wired router attached to my standalone Comcast modem. I would like to use my D-Link DIR-651 as a wireless access point in another room. I'm running Windows 7.
I'm attempting to connect the DIR-651 to the TP Link wired router via a Powerline adapter. I've been able to do so successfully, but am having DHCP/IP address issues. I thought I had disabled the DHCP on the DIR-651 but still no luck.
I'm happy to attach an image of my ipconfig (if someone helps me on how), but that could be so screwed up I don't know if it adds value. I'm sure there is more data that I can provide to help, so I'll apologize in advance for not including it.
I appreciate your help. Help me D-Link Forum User, you're my only hope! ;)

Thanks for the reply...Furry? Mr. Nutz? Regardless, I will grab the info for the three bullets in your reply and post it, and I will also study the linked guide carefully!
Thanks,
