5030L Lost power during Firmware update via mydlink update.
« on: December 27, 2020, 04:12:41 PM »

Hi all,

New to this forum and hoping for a solution here.

I've got a used 5030L (no SD card came with it) that we had working fine via the mydlink app. During an update of the firmware, via that app, the camera lost power because it was plugged into my laptop as a power source. Now we've only got a solid red light. Multiple attempts at factory resets with tech support have done nothing to make it accessible again.

I'm thinking from reading around here I may be able to insert a microSD card with a new .bin file in an "update" folder, and that might fix whatever we broke while losing power.

Did i brick this thing?

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Best,
Christian

Are you using the stock power adapter with the camera or still connected to your PC?
