Earlier, I used to use iBall Baton router and I am missing some features. Can we please get them?

• Ability to see LAN traffic and WAN traffic separately
• Ability to see upload/download rate of wireless & wired clients in realtime (via autorefresh)
• Ability to set the auto-logout feature on/off
• Ability to set custom username & port number for router (better security)

Since this router has been out for a while, I presume the some of your request will probably not be added.

The auto log out and Admin log in user name features is a security policy held by D-Link and it's how they implement there security on all D-Link routers and I presume will not be changed anytime soon.

Ok but is there any way of finding which client is using how much of my bandwidth. Because this is a very basic requirement.

RATE is the connection speed between the router and the client devices only. Just how fast the connection is between them is all. Not data flow.

Yes, you will see RATE as is the connection being maintained by the router and the connected device.

Is it similar to signal strength? What is the difference?

What sucks about this router is that I can't see which device is eating how much bandwidth, then I can reduce it's bandwidth

No...RATE is the connection speed between the router and the device. 54, 65, 130, 150, 270, 300Mb as so on. Signal effects how fast the rate is, the lower the strength is, the lower the RATE will be. The better signal strength, the better the RATE will be. This is only between the router and the device. Not all devices support 300Mb or higher RATEs. Some only support 54 or 65 or 130Mb connection rates. On my Mac Book Pro on 2.4ghz, it only can connect at 130Mb. Now on 5Ghz I can connect at 300Mb on a 5Ghz supporting router which the 605L does not. It's only 2.4Ghz.

Both of them are correlated I guess. But not very helpful since Signal strength fairly indicates RATE but might be useful to someone else

• Upstream/Downstream speed is not shown in real time and is very inaccurate
• Have to give a reboot to actually see the current list of connected clients
• Every enable/disable command needs a reboot

I have tried and it's working properly but...it needs a reboot for every action which means my current work will get affected

Thanks for the feedback. This is a fairly low budget model router and thus not set up for for advanced users. Just mainly for home and someone who wants little setup hassle. It would be nice to not have to reboot so often however you should contact your regional D-Link support office to ask to see if they can implement a "Reboot Later" function after making changes. Other higher end model routers have this feature.
