SO it seems that maybe something in the log accumulation is causing the router to become hung up and non functional after a period of time.  ???
I'm not blaming directly the log, it's behaving a lot like a memory leak

is there a way to monitor the CPU/MEM usage on the router?!
some super-secret advanced page perhaps ?

NO there isn't. That would need to be done by D-Link engineers.

I agree, it would need to be done by d-link engineers...
i met with this behavior but still no solution for it. the problem that rebooting occure just in few enviroments but all is HW B.. i have to check in lab that i have one hw B and test it. if i can reproduce the issue then we will investigate it and make the fw upgrade.
for this i need time, please be patient.
Altough if u want to replace the product, please contact by pm...

replace it with?! something else entirely or a new 605L  :P

because if it's same 605L, it will behave similarly since I do believe it's not a HW issue but a FW one - so it's kinda redundant to go RMA process at this point

It's possible it could be a FW issue however it maybe a HW issue as well. Your the only one that seems to exhibit this problem so it maybe your unit in particular that could be faulty in HW. We havn't seen anyone else post about this behavior in the forums, yet besides you. Only way to find out would be to get another or wait to see if mtztraktoros can reproduce this in the lab...

the unit just arrived and I set it up, so far so good - it's a 605L rev A1
one of the differences I noticed right away rev A1 vs rev B: A1 does have a save log and the option to upload to a SysLog server

oh my god .. NOOOOO! this one behaves the same  :o
today I tested my internet speed, discovered I only had ~60mbps out of the ~100mbps the router is capable
next thing I did was to enter the Status tab and check the log - the router rebooted itself
did a speed test after the reboot and speeds were once again back to normal

today, I'm more convinced than ever that the 605L line has a serious software design flaw

Any chance you can test this router out at a different location, say neighbor, friend or families place?

Can you get another router to test to see if similar thing happens? Barrow one? Or swap with borrower with the 605L and test at each location? I see M looked at his earlier. I hope he will come back and post about this.

You might ask him to review your router settings via teamviewer to be sure it's configured right.
