DNS-323 with RAID1 working for years time without apparent roblems. Often I switch off power when no read/write activity. When looking into the web interface recently, RAID1 indicated to be degraded. Log shows 2 messages HDD1 failure. I closed down via web interface, booted again, still RAID1 degraded but no more HDD1 failure in logs any more. So expected the RAID1 to sync automatically. But sync time remaining goes down, but never ending and reporting success, but goes up again, down and so on. When trying to backup data to another place with robocopy, it works for a while but at a certain file robocopy shows error message that source file not available.
Is there any hope that the RAID1 will synchronize again if I just wait long enough? Has the system the ability to tell that syncing is not possible any more? Anything else I could do?

Hi,  I have the same issue and symptoms but I have not attempted to copy off the data.  How did you identify which HDD is faulty?

If anyne can assist here that would be great!!

My setup is HW vers B1, Firmware 1.08,  RAID 1 - 1.5TB.  I get an email alert that RAID Rebuild complete but in console still shows degraded.  Data is still accessible and quick.
