Title: DCS-9XX - My Camera Won't Save my New Password

This procedure will enable DCS-9XX owners to change or enter new admin and user passwords

Procedure

When you create a user account or change the Admin password, the password must be no longer than 8 alphanumeric characters. Passwords that have more than 8 characters or contain special characters will be rejected by the camera. The firmware does not currently generate an error, so there's no way of determining whether or not the password was accepted other than performing a login attempt.

• Open a web browser and enter the DCS IP Camera IP address as the URL (e.g. 192.168.1.5)
• Enter your login credentials
• Navigate to MAINTENANCE > Admin
  
• Enter a new password containing 8 or less alphanumeric (non-special) characters[/b]
  
• Press Save Settings
