Title: Where to find old firmwares?
Post by: eborn on October 21, 2016, 07:56:51 AM
I want to (temporarily) downgrade the firmware to 1.04 to get back the admin pages. But the old firmwares are no longer linked on the support site (support.dlink.com/productinfo.aspx?m=dcs-825l). Only the release notes are available. I've checked the FTP server myself (ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/PRODUCTS/DCS-825L/REVA/) but this directory also doesn't contain the old firmware files.

Any ideas how to get hold of the old, original, firmwares?

There maybe some security reasons why they are not available anymore and only current FW is.

That's too bad, because the camera is kind of useless without the option to change IP address and port numbers...

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I did some more digging: the Dutch support sites links to the .eu FTP server. And that FTP still holds the older Firmwares:

ftp://ftp.dlink.eu/Products/dcs/dcs-825L/driver_software/
