Dead Ports
« on: June 14, 2010, 12:13:45 PM »

Has anyone ever solved the problem of some ports suddenly stops working?

I recently upgraded our HP switches to gigabit with DGS-1224T & DGS-1024D but it looks like i may have to either downgrade them back or replace these switches with a more reliable brand.

I was thinking it's only a bad unit when 3 ports suddenly died on one unit but now 7 out of 9 units is really a bad sign. I dont like shutting down my entire network just to reset these switches when it happens.

I'd appreciate any help to resolve this issue.
