[Newbie] ACL to block DHCP packets on DGS-3100 24
« on: November 09, 2009, 11:26:01 AM »

Hi guys,

Can I set a ACL to block DHCP packets on DGS-3100 24?
I have a DHCP server in my network..  all DHCP requests should be directed to it.

Sorry if that question has no sense...  but It's my duty discover how to do that.

Follow the instructions in the manual, write two ACLs.

One that allows traffic (either destination UDP/68, or source UDP/67, or both) from your DHCP server's port.
One that drops traffic (either destination UDP/68, or source UDP/67, or both) from all ports.

The order of your ACLs is important, ensure that the one I listed first is entered first.

Is that clear enough?
