Didn't fix the slim xbox cap, and for some reason this one makes my Sony Blu-Ray lose streaming capabilities. (Netflix, Amazon, and Windows streaming all quit after a minute)... oh, and the best part is that it wont let me go back to 1.04.

Weird.  I can go back to the 1.04, if I go with the Canadian file.

Are you doing a factory reset, send file, then one more factory reset?

Ok, so I loaded this v1.05 on my 827 yesterday...saw some odd behavior in the WiFi and networking. I could not connect my Mac Book Pro to the 2.4Ghz radio at all using new SSID, WPA2, AES only on manual channel 11. I manually set up the router and Internet using custom DNS that I had been using before on v1.04. Got everything set up as before however could not get any Internet access whatsoever. It was getting an IP address from the modem and seemed to be connected. The only thing I didn't due is power cycle the ISP modem. Usually don't have to do this. After I got it connected to the main network, none of the devices on my network were showing p in the Dynamic Clients list so I could reserved them.  ??? They were showing connected under Status/Device Info.

I'll attempt one more test today and factory reset the router and use the wizard to set it up.

I'll post back with results.

Ok, so I did a factory reset and set up SSID and PW, left all other wifi settings alone. Set up QoS for Automatic everything. Entered 2 QoS rules for xbox and all other device. Not using any custom DNS addresses. I'm online now and router seems to be working ok.
Logging back into the router reports that measurement testing is in progress. Estimated Link speed reports after test that either  Not Estimated or "Your broadband internet connection has surpassed
the uplink measurement requirement.." Router does not detect the type of connection, so it reports Not Detected for a Cable modem it's connected too.  :-\
Speed Test resorts the follow using my Mac Book Pro via 5Ghz radio:

Switching to 2.4Ghz and running same test:
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/2660616833.png) (http://www.speedtest.net)
Possible issue with 2.4Ghz radio. I'd have to test with different WiFi adapter on my Mac to see.

Still not seeing the most of my connected LAN devices in the Dynamic Clients lists for some reason.  :-\ I presume that each device might need to be rebooted for the router to correctly add them in the list.  ::)

Switching to custom DNS addresses and turning DNS Relay OFF on 5Ghz:
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/2660633534.png) (http://www.speedtest.net)

Set both radios to Single mode N, WPA2 and AES only with success.
Xbox connected at 128-129Mb and MacBook connected at 15Mb  @ 100% on 2.4Ghz.
iPhone connected at 61Mb at 100% MacBook Rate fluctuated greatly from 15Mb down to 7Mb after continuously refreshing the wifi status page. Would not remain at a constant rate or at 130Mb. All this in the same room with in 6 feet of router.

Xbox connected at 280Mb @ 94% MacBook connects at 270Mb @ 92% on 5Ghz. Saw fluctuations on rates and %s with Mac Book connection. Did not seem to maintain a stable rate while refreshing the page.

Going to play some xbox on both wireless and wired and see how it goes.

Did some gaming with 2 Xboxes connected to the 5Ghz radio at the same time for a couple of hours. Gaming was good and solid. No major issues seen.

I believe the 2.4Ghz radio is ok however could use a bit more stability I believe as fluctuations in rates seems off with my MacBook Pro on this radio. 5ghz is stable.

I think over all, I would wait or hold off on using this beta build for the general population. v1.04 is much more stable. For the tinker people, give it a try if you want too.  ;)

I have forwarded this onto D-Link for review.

Just got my DIR-827 loaded with this firmware. One problem I noticed is my Linksys SPA2102 connected on LAN port got disconnected after DHCP lease ended (1440 minutes). It didn't renew the IP address automatically. I have to change my Linksys SPA2102 to static IP and everything seems good for the past 2 days.

Can you reserve the IP address on the router?
Hope it works well for you.

I did reserve IP for all my devices from the very begining. They worked properly before the lease ended, but won't renew automatically.

IF you reserved them ON the router, there isn't any renew time frame as they automatically connect to the same IP address that is reserved for each device and each time they connect to the router. Renewal is for devices that are not reserved and set up as DHCP Dynamically with a lease time of an IP address.

Then there might be something wrong with the DHCP server itself. The static IP works well now. I'll change it back to reserved IP and see if I could repliacate the problem.

Do all devices not acquire a IP if using Reservations or only particular ones? Test with ALL devices turned off accept one. Then graduate turning them on as you test.

This time it seems stable for more than 2 days. The only difference is I enabled "NetBIOS announcement" this time. Thank FurryNutz for your help.

Anyone tried build 02 yet?  I reverted to 1.04 after trying the first 1.05.  It didn't seem as stable.  How's the new one?

Put the 827 back online to test some 5Ghz stuff.
Since my ISP updated my upLink from 2Mb to 3Mb, it's looking good:
C1 ISP
Download Speed: 51806 kbps (6475.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 3078 kbps (384.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
November 29, 2013 at 11:52:26 AM MST

Speedtest.net
Download Speed: 51773 kbps (6471.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 3116 kbps (389.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
November 29, 2013 at 11:52:53 AM MST

QoS and TS are enabled. TS reported that my uplink speed surpasses measurement done my router. We will see QoS behavior.
