so basically i had firmware 6.05? i think, and used it for wireless repeater and for some reason it kept on disconnecting/reconnecting my connection which made it impossible to play games. so i decided to upgrade to firmware 6.10 HW:F1,

now the wireless repeater does not work for some reason, connecting to the wifi says "no internet access"

what i noticed on this firmware is that, after doing setup wizard and setting it to wifi repeater and rebooting,
the wireless setup does not change the 'wireless mode' to repeater automatically, so i went to it and changed it even that did not fixed the problem.

second notice on this firmware if i change the wireless mode in wireless setup to repeater and THEN do the setup wizard with wifi repeater it just become buggy, sometimes it does not let me press next, sometimes it does not reboot at the end but instead just goes back to main page

IS 6.10 known to have issues with repeater mode? can i firmware downgrade? or how do i get the wireless repeater to work with it please help out!

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

What model DAP do you have?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the DAP and the main host router?

Has a factory reset been done after the FW update then setup from scratch?

umm mauritius?

What model DAP do you have? DAP-1360
What Mfr and model is the main host router?  its a huawei HG8245H, note that it worked before the firmware upgrade
What wireless modes are you using? 802.11n on both main router and the DAP-1360
What is the distance between the DAP and the main host router? about 3-4 metres, the signal is 40-50% and again it worked before firmware upgrade

Has a factory reset been done after the FW update then setup from scratch? yes i did a factory reset after the firmware upgrade, also did it again when it wasnt working

Can you temporarily place the DAP closer to the main host router?
Then try farther away? Try 6-8 meters?

Also this may be an issue with FW and needs to be looked at by your nearest regional D-Link support office:

I presume you could. I would get in contact with support about this at least to let them know...

Try using those steps seen in the link...
If this still fails, I would contact D-Link support.
