« on: December 01, 2010, 05:51:17 PM »

For some reason my router will just completely shutdown and restart all over again and this has happened 3 times today. I do have the current firmware 1.23NA installed on the router. Here is the post of the logs I have for the system. And I'm not sure what it means so any help would be appreciated.

What ISP service do you have? Cable or DSL? Have you done a factory reset after updating the FW? How are you connected to the router? wireless or wired?

I have Time Warner Cable as my ISP which would be Cable Internet. I have not done a factory reset after updating the FW. I'm connected to the router Wired through a CAT 6 cable.

Just an FYI I do have other computers connected VIA Wired and my phone is connected wirelessly.

I would set the WiFi for G mode only at 2.4Ghz and set a WPA password. Review the Gaming and Gamefuel sticky for a good setup that works well. It's what I use. Check the Firewall settings and turn off the options that you don't need or use on the router, stuff like proctected WiFi and WISH. Let us know how it goes. Test with one devices connected wired, then add a wireless device and see how it goes.

Mkay it happened again. But I'm still not able to determine the problem. So lets say that if only My computer is plugged in it works just fine. But as soon as I plug in the other computer it crashes. What does it mean? And how do I fix that? I haven't been able to test to see if that is the cause of it.

But so far it seems that FFXIV is the problem. I've NEVER had this many restarts and for some reason it only seems to be this game. It wasn't like that before mind you. But now I can't even play it for 30 minutes without it crashing. Any ideas?

Is this a PC game? You might need to set up gaming and a gamefuel rule for the game...if it's only happending when the game is played then you need to setup static IPs, gaming and gamefuel rule.
