Trying to set up Link Aggregation 802.3ad for a synology 1010+. Is this Trunking? The Synology has 2 gig-e ports and says that they can be link aggregated but I cannot find any mention of support for 802.3ad link aggegation in the D-link literature. Is this the same as trunking? If it is the same do the ports have to be contiguous 8-9 or can they be separated 8-11. Are there any articles about setting this up online? Does the computer accessing the 1010+ raid also have to have the link aggregation set up? Thanks for your help.....

yes that is trunk...
But you need to check which type of link aggregation is supported by the synology: static or dynamic.
The DES only support static aggregation.
