Hello jepz,

Noticed, I´ve lost two hdds because high temperatures over the years in my DNS 320 and in my DNS 327L, temps were above 55ºC constantly.

Today I left the top open and with two 120mm fans blowing cold air in my DNS327L (since DNS320 is a piece of ****), also rump up the in built exhaust fan to 4200rpm, now temps stay around 34-38ºC.

Cheers

My DNS-327L with 2x4TB WD Red keeps between 48-51°C. Could you please point out how you managed to "rump up" the fan speed?

Cheers

Hi,

It's in Portuguese, but you can have an idea where to set it up.

Also I keep an external fan blowing air to the bottom of the 327L case.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply. I do understand now! You set the fan on manual. I though there would be some clever way to edit a config file or some thing like that.

Cheers

Hope this works for you. Should you need additional cooling, I recommend getting a USB powered laptop cooler fan and place the DNS on top of this cooler.

Works for other heat generating devices like routers as well.
