Playback on MAC? another road block
« on: November 16, 2014, 06:45:06 AM »

After battling Java for an hour, I am still unable to view playback or live view due to :  cannot create directory /Users/NAME/.jnpl-applet/cache/

I am not a MAC person, but this is what we have currently.  When I try to manually create the file, the MAC says the folders can not begin with a "." because that is reserved for system files.

Is there a work around?  Has anyone else experienced this?

I run into this problem when using 192.168.0.xxx and at mydlink.com

I have the same issue when logging into the DNR-322L at 192.168.XX.XX - Did you get this solved? I bought a package deal with the DNR-322L and a couple of DCS-5020L cameras and I have had nothing but issues. "Zero configuration" it said in the box.... Been thru Java and firmware updates and still not working. Hope this is the last hurdle. So very interested in how this was solved....

Link>Welcome!

  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DNR/DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What OSX versions are you using?
Whet browser versions are you using?
What version of Java is installed?
Can you access video from the cameras on the mydlink.com web page?

Be aware that the OP hasn't been back since he posted this initial post that started this...so either he got it working or he didn't.
