IP conflict on wired repeater mode
« on: March 09, 2011, 07:44:13 PM »

heres my current setup:

192.168.xxx.1 as Access Point  located at 2F

192.168.xxx.2 repeater 1  located in GF
192.168.xxx.3 repeater 2  located in 3F
192.168.xxx.4 repeater 3  located in 4F

this setup works fine, if i'm using 3 repeaters in wireless mode for it is boosting the signal from my AP located at the 2nd floor.  however, 4F repeater won't work if 3F repeater is turned off.

if connect 1 of the 3 repeaters in our LAN it would generate and "IP conflict" error message on our network.  what settings should i do to make it work?

note : i have used this kind of setup using 3 DWL-2100 AP and DWL-3200AP and it works fine.

problem solved with the help from d-link tech support.

all were setup as AP having the same (SSID, passwords, etc..) configurations except for their LAN IP addresses.

Client automatically switches AP with the strongest signal.

thanks...
