REMOTE ACCESS
« on: August 23, 2018, 03:10:55 AM »

Good day to everybody,

while I have no problems in accessing a switch DES-12108P from a LAN, both SSH and web interface, it seems that it denies access from WAN.
I tried security - trusted host but it did not change anything.

Since also telnet access is enabled by default (I understood so), it would be reasonable to limit access by default only to internal IPs.

However I looked for some option, to enable remote access, but did not find anything .

Any hints ?

thanks and kind regards,
Paolo Argenton

Has the switch been powered OFF for 30 seconds then back on?
Connecting directly to the switch with a PC can you access the UI?
Try a reset as a last resort?
