Title: Multiple cameras in one view
Post by: MrMrMr on April 05, 2014, 12:20:16 AM
I now have 2 DLink cameras, a 930 and a 932. Both registered and can view on my iPhone via the app great. However to see each camera I've got to select each in turn.

Can the app (or another one) not view both (or more) cameras at the same time to get a better view?

Thanks

mydlink Lite only supports one camera view at a time. The mydlink+ app for tablets supports viewing four live feeds on one screen.

You can add this item as a reply to the mydlink Lite App - Feature Wishlist (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=52275.0) thread.

Then what would differentiate the apps at that point?  Is it missing from the +app on Apple?

It'll never happen if it is there.

The mydlink+ apps (all platforms) provide support for four panes. Another distinguishing factor is the fact that the mydlink+ app only works on tablets. I would much rather see the mydlink+ app work on smartphones, especially with the larger form-factor and increased resolution on many of the newer phones.

It's available for me too download on my Galaxy Note 3  and Galaxy s4 phones.

I'm not giving Google my credit card to try it out.

Try ip cam viewer basic on Android.

My experience is that viewing any more than one camera at a time is totally dependent on your upstream bandwidth , and is generally useless if monitoring from the web externally. The stream bandwidth is divided among all the active cameras and so unless you have a fantastic internet plan I would stick to viewing one cam at a time unless you like still pictures and poor frame rates with broken sound. My opinion.
