DNS-323 NON PASSWD Login error
« on: August 04, 2010, 02:18:24 AM »

Hello All!

I need a little help. I have a DNS-323 with fw. 1.04 it worked great... but i can not use some of its new features.
I have a free share,
<newdir      Volume_1/newdir     ALL     Dlink Nas I      yes  yes  > and every user on the network can use it,

and have a passwd protected share with name and pw.
<honor      Volume_1/honor     honor     Honor  yes yes > and this share can use the name of "honor" and with passwd. It worked great too.

Now I updated to the new firmware first 1.08 and after 1.09 , reset the systems, create the shares again, and nothing works!

The FREE share need username and passwd too!!!!

If I have a free and a non free share, all computer on the network need user/paswd to connect to the FREE share of the NAS!!

I downgraded the NAS to 1.04 and all share worked great again but this way I can not use some new functions - like gmail allert or ect...

Any idea???

Thans

The functionality in 1.08 and 1.09 has changed and you can't mix types any more. Covered in other threads.

A lot of us think it was a bad idea, but that doesn't mean anyone's listening. :)
