Optimize performance
« on: March 20, 2010, 10:06:09 PM »

Does anyone know what settings should be used to optimize performance for DAP-2553 access point?

I only have one 802.11n wireless adapter being used on my network. I want to get the fastest file transfer speeds using my DAP-2553 because I routinely transfer large files (3 GB+).  I'm currently using 5GHz Wireless Band, and I have the Wireless Mode set to 80211.n only.  The fastest throughput I've achieved so far is 13.7 MB/s which is more than 3.5 times faster than my old wireless access point.  But it's far short of the 802.11n thereotical maximum which I believe is around 37 MB/s.

Hi,

Maximum wireless signal rate derived from IEEE Standard 802.11n specifications, but the actual data throughput will vary based on the Network conditions and environmental factors, including volume of network traffic, buildings materials and construction, and network overhead, lower actual data throughput rate. Environmental factors will adversely affect wireless signal range.
