Title: dcs-5009l resets itself randomly
Post by: traverse on September 19, 2015, 01:44:31 AM
I just updated my dcs-5009l camera with ver 1.06 of the firmware and camera resets itself randomly.
It will just reset for no reason anywhere from 2 hours to about 45 minutes.  It's been doing it all day.
Needless to say, once it does the reset the camera is not view able thru the d-link website.

Prior to the update, firmware ver 1.04, it would reset itself about every two days.

Any ideas?

What a factory reset performed before and after the FW update then setup from scratch?

I recommend using a Static IP address ON the DCS set to 192.168.#.59 or .90.
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?

Can you set WPA2/AES only on the router?
Try manual channel 1, 6 or 11?

Ensure uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding is enabled as well ON the camera. Keep us posted.
