How to configure Justconnect+ to work outside local network
« on: December 06, 2013, 05:34:58 PM »

My Justconnect+ works when I am in the local network but cannot work outside of it. The salesman told me it can work if I do port forwarding. How do I do that?

I am using a D-Link DVG-N5402SP router.

Log into your router web UI and navigate to the Virtual Server section. Create a new entry:

  • IP Address: IP Address of Camera
  • Public Port: select an arbitrary number (e.g. port 81)
  • Private Port: 80

Take note of the externally facing IP address of your router on the router status page (this is not the "192.168.x.x" IP address).

Open JustConnect+ and create a new camera entry. For the address field, enter: [ROUTER_IP_ADDRESS]:[PUBLIC_PORT] (e.g. 155.122.110.23:81)
