Wow, who da thunk. Amazing. Makes me wonder if this is the issue of others that have posted about this.  ::)

I'll pass this on and mark this a solved. Good catch.  ;)

THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED...

The root cause is USB3.0 Cable that came from device package was defected.

The solution is just replace the USB3.0 Cable. I have replace it with my USB 3.0 External HDD and It's works fine.

Restart Windows about 10 times never get the problem, previously the problem come every time the system has been restarted.

Hi all,

HAve been surfing these sites for some guidance but nothing has helped me out of my misery just yet. So I have a DWA-192, using it with Desktop running a fully updated windows 10_X64 (latest update was KB4093105 installed two days ago) and a couple of days ago (around the install of that update actually) the adapter started to act really weird... Same as some of you have complaining about... Drops, blinking, etc... It drops both my networks (5G and 2.4G respectively). I was using it with my Desktop PC, with gigabyte z170MX, using the USB3.1 slot. Here's what I tried so far with no luck:

- Other USB ports (USB 3.0, 2.0)
- Disabling powermanagement functions
- Re-forth-re-forth installing the drivers
- Reverting that KB update
- Threatening the adapter with gipsy courses
- Voodoo magic...

I tried the adapter with my Samsung notebook (fully updated win10_64, with KB4093112 being the latest update), with the same result...

Since I've got a Galaxy S5, I could test the cable by copying stuff there and back, and it didn't fail (still could be faulty tho)

The modem is out of the Q as I've got heaps of devices hanging on it and all work just fine  - like the desktop did until a couple of days ago...

I couldn't try it on our win7 notebook as I can't be bothered putting a driver on that little thing as I fear it would get confused with this modern technology...

I really like this little orb and it was frekkin' expensive to just *rap itself after a good 1.5 years usage (which I guess also means NO warranty)

Anyway, if you guys know anything that could help me out, or send me the number of a witchdoctor would greatly appreciate!

Cheers

What region are you located?
Whats the Mfr and model # of the main host wifi router?
Please install it on the Windows 7 PC as a test to see if the problem follows...I have my adapter running well on my one PC, dual boot Windows 7 and 10 x64 platforms. Adapter works great for me.

Also give this a try:

If the problem seems bad all around after trying my suggestions, then the unit maybe bad and you might ask for an RMA...
