Title: Won't Detect 5Ghz network
Post by: c0nfusi0n on June 12, 2017, 03:58:41 PM
I have a D-Link 890 router and I can't get the camera to detect the 5Ghz Wireless N network.  I've tried all the basic troubleshooting steps.  Resetting, static IP, Change channel but it won't detect.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I can tell that model can only connect at 2.4Ghz. It's not 5Ghz compatible. I couldn't find any paperwork that specifically says it, but I see reviews of people saying it is not.

Looked it up on the consumer made FCC site and confirmed it's 2.4Ghz only.

See page here. (https://fccid.io/KA2CS5030LA1)

Frequency Range   Power Output   Rule Parts   Line Entry
2.412-2.462 GHz 2.4 GHz WiFi   402.7 mW   15C   1
