I feel so rude, I am sorry but I forgot to thank you guys for helping me and giving me ideas, so thank you very much. I really appreciated what you guys did, Also I can't stop but to wonder the next generation of gamerlounge routers!, not that I need an upgrade but an upgrade would never kill anyone. Also since this is an discussion thread, I would like to ask you guys how do you feel that many ISP are now putting a cap to how much Gigs you can download a month! That is insane! Also all this net neutrality talk Etc "moves to Europe were the internet is faster than the one of USA"

Well the bandwidth capping and net neutrality discussions are completely separate, but both are interesting. How do you want to approach the subject? Its a wide reaching topic.

I am Pro caps, as long as they are reasonable. They should effect no more then the upper 3-4% of the user base. I see it as supply and demand. Demand is increasing faster then the cost of supply. Not to say the cost of bandwidth has increased, because internally it has decreased by alot, but the cost alot of ISP's are investing into their infrastructure has increased in the last 10 years. IPv6, DOCSIS 3.0, new ADSL technology, etc. Now granted, in a perfect world, the decrease in over head would make up for the increase in investment, but thats not how companies see it. If profits didn't increase with investment, it would be alot harder to sell the idea of investing. So when ISP's put money into a system, they want to find ways to get more money out of it. Now that can be with price hikes, but that has a negative effect on total numbers of customers. So they find ways to increase profits with the benefits gained by the upgrades. This is being done by making their network more efficient. If 2% of their users are taking up 80% of their bandwidth, that is not efficient. I am just pulling those numbers from thin air, but you get my point. So I see the caps like a tax in the rich. Not only does it make more money for the ISP but it free's up bandwidth for the average user, in essence, giving them a possible increase in speed. Just like a tax on the rich gets the government the money it needs, it also leaves some left over for tax breaks for the rest of us. Granted, this is a vast simplification on both front. I also respect the valid opinion of people who are Anti caps, (and anti tax increases for that matter) but I use it to state my point.

As for Net Neutrality..your going to have to give me some context on that one. Thats like saying "Hey, how do you feel about freedom?" Heh

Nope, not Funchords, but tell me about him? Quick google search didn't pull up anything that rings a bell. Where does he hang out? Forum? Youtube? Blog? And seriously, the more I learn, the more I learn how little I know in the scheme of things. I am all self taught, and with my recent promotion, I am now the little fish in a HUGE pond. Its soo much fun, but boy is it humbling.

Didn't understand what you were implying, but I didn't google him, I saw the link and your post about that. Nvm if thats not you than my compliment was useless lol. Also this is what I think about the cap and throatle issues, if you subscribed to 1.5Gbps that means you need all that speed, but than they give you 60Gb monthly than what's the point for that much speed? You need more speed because you are downloading big files. Its like I give you a bugatti veyron but you have X amount of track to run it on.

Oh, I see who you meant. The guy on DSLReports. No, I am not him. I mostly keep a low profile on DSL reports. So many angry misinformed people. Not to say there aren't intelligent people there too(lots), it just seems those people don't get as angry as much it seems.

Is this the post that was just answered? Or something different?  I found these

how did you setup the tests for only Local port ranges and only Remote Port ranges, did you just enter 0.0.0.0 or leave it black because I keep getting an invalid starting IP address.  I have tried every combination but I am still getting 128 priority on all ports in every Dir to xBoxLive.
e.g.
192.168.0.199:3074   99.232.xxx.xxx:3074   65.55.42.180:3074   UDP   -   Out   128   25

I thought there was another too, but can't find it. Can you give me any other criteria? Like general time frame of post?

BTW, anyone know any inside info on when PSN will be up. I asked a few friends that do the whole Anom scene and they say they really didn't do it. LOL. Did Sony raise the ire of a more possessional group?
