DGS-1100-08
« on: March 22, 2016, 05:26:43 AM »

I apologies if this is posted in the wrong place. I cannot seem to find any area on the forum suitable for the DGS-1100-08.  I need to turn of the Energy features of the switch (EEE, IEEE 802.3az, DLink Green or whatever other moniker it goes under).

Via the web browser it seems not to be an option. Does anyone know of a way to turn this off if it is not displayed in the web browser?

I have a specific real time data application that i wish to use the switch in for troubleshooting and the protocol i am troubleshooting does not support IEEE 802.3az. Its a good size switch easy for taking in a rucksack which is what i need.

If this is not possible can you recommend a gigabit switch that can have energy settings switched off, is as small as possible for portable use and is as cheep as possible?

Thanks for your help!

What region are you located?
What FW is currently loaded?
Refer to the user manual to see if there is any options to disable the features your looking to disable. I presume if they are not listed, they may not be supported to disable them.

If you need a un-managed switch and just normal pass thru Gb switch operations, These are good:
DGS-801
DGS-1008P

Having researched further and looked at the web browser more i'm certain this switch does not do what i need it to. I have returned it and bought a HP that has the feature set required,

Thanks for your help.

I have an HP 24 pt switch as my main switch. They work well.
Cheers.
