Recommended configuration for multiple concurrent VPN connections?

Does anyone have recommendations for the following use case?  I have a 30 Mbps down 5-10 Mbps up cable connection.  I run 2-4 concurrent vpn connections during the day.  I have mostly N network adapters, however my Wii and one of my laptops are equipped with G adapters, so i am forced to run mix mode (which i have heard causes performance issues).  When i have multiple vpn connections running i experience noticable voip/video degradation.  Any configuration recommendations i can make to my DIR 655 to improve my connection?
