Well bought this new Router when my Linksys WRT54G died.....heard good things about it.
Anyway, got it configed and check in the Admin page for latest FW and it shows 1.32NA as latest.
However, when I go to DLink FTP there is 1.33NA both in normal and BETA....plus 1.34NA in both. I download these zip files and unzipped and 1.33NA does not show as BETA in BIN name, 1.34NA does. Should I be using these or wait ? Not much of changes but in 1.33NA this DNS for slowdown seems like something that should be updated for ?
Thoughts ? Thx !
Firmware: 1.33NA
Date: 01/28/10
2. Fixed: DNS relay issue ( WAN Slowdown )

This is the latest Official Firmware:
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir655/Firmware/dir655_fw_134NA.zip
(you have to copy and paste, the url code sticks a http in the link and screws everything up)
-
That is the one I downloaded before from the FTP but it is listed as BETA #3.
-
Thats because its the same file as the final beta they put out, the just took of the word beta that was at the end. I think the b03 stands for Build 03.

So, solid to use ?
Why does the auto-update in the router shows 1.32NA as latest ?
Also, I know an upgrade will wipe out my config but if I resore my config file saved to HDD all will be OK ?
-
Don't use the auto upgrade, have it turned right off so it doesn't waste time checking. The latest one has been running on mine with no issues from date of release. I was able to restore my config, however you can never guarantee that the stored config will work, it should but anything can happen. If your at 1.32 it may not wipe out your settings but always backup first to be safe.
-
Thanks....I upgraded to 1.34NA and restored my config...all went well.

For DIR655 Harware Version A is Firmware Version 1.34NA Still The Latest ?
-
Yes, 1.34NA is still the latest.
-
I saw somewhere there is firmware version 2.00NA for this router ? Seems like others on the Forum talk about 1.35NA.
I am running 1.34NA still Hardware Version A4.
If I go into the router and use the check-updates function it says that 1.34NA is latest.
If I also use the FTP site it only has 1.34NA. ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir655/
So, is there a v2.00NA ?.....if so, where is it ?
Is it stable to use ? What does it fix ?
As FYI...my router seems to work fine but part of me always wants to be updated...I know sometimes though that is not always good....thus looking for advice.
Thx.

Firmware 2.00NA is only for the new B1 hardware version of the 655.
The latest for all others A1 through A4 is 1.35NA
1.35 is there at the top of your link:

Thx......I saw the 1.35NA as you were posting...thx....couple questions............
1) Why did my 1.34NA A4 Check-Updates Function in the router not see new update ?
I don't mind doing this manual but wondering why this did not work ?
2) I'm all for upgrading to the lastest but looking at the Release notes not sure what this Securespot function is and if I don't use should I bother upgrading since my router/system works fine ?
DIR-655 Firmware Release Notes
=========================================
Firmware: 1.35NA
Date: 12/28/10
1. Removed Securespot Feature.
=========================================
-
The only change was removing securespot as it is no longer supported.
D-Link probably did not "push" this as an update.

What is/was SecureSpot ?

A paid service that provided more management of the router, Parental Controls, Anti-Virus, and other things.
