Title: Support for OpenDNS in Firmware update soon?
Post by: summerstormpictures on October 25, 2008, 02:38:19 AM
Will there be a way to set up an autoupdate for OpenDNS in the future? Right now there is only the D-Link and DynDNS options. There is a huge and growing userbase for OpenDNS and I'd love to have the router take care of all of this rather than a utility on any one computer -- especially a portable that travels off-network frequently.

I use dnsomatic (http://www.dnsomatic.com (http://www.dnsomatic.com)) to update opendns and dyndns.

These settings work for me.
Server Address: updates.dnsomatic.com

Hey, thanks. I didn't realize I could type in my own. I thought it was just the pre-selects which didn't list OpenDNS or DNS-o-Matic. It seems to be "connected" but I don't know how often it will do this -- unless it is predicated on when my external IP changes.
