Problem accessing my HDD without my DNS
« on: November 03, 2018, 10:41:02 AM »

(this topic should have ben in DNS340L 4 Bay share center - admins please help me move it there)
Hello,
I have been using my DNS 340L only as host for my drivers (no raid)
Recently, I unplugged my drive from my DNS and took my hdd with me for a travel, I plugged my hdd on a desktop computer
(win10) as a normal internal drive, but I couldn't access the drive, and its showing as 3 inaccessable partitions.
If I try to access, I receive these 2 error messages:
The first says "you need to format the disk before you can use it it"
I hit cancel because i want to keep my data of course, then I recieve this error message:
"Location is not available, the volume does not contain a received file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted"
Unfortunately I don't have any DNS with me to try to open it again, so my concerns are:

*Did the HDD crash?
* Are red WD incompatible with desktops pc?
* How can I access my drive without DNS?
* Does the D-Link DNS encrypt drives and makes them inaccessible without it? And if so do I have tools to access it?

I appreciate your help, thanks in advance.
