Title: DCS-932L A1 Help
Post by: mkp20 on September 22, 2017, 04:20:13 PM
i have a DCS-9332l A1 Version 1.06 camera that has been working fine until today. So today i decided to redo my network and change some subnets. I remoted into my camera to change it from static to DHCP so once i changed the vlan on its port it would get a DHCP from the new subnet. WHen i changed the selection to DHCP the camera rebooted then came on with the old IP address and all the settings were not there. i re-selected all the setting i had and told the camera to reboot. it did so but once again all the settings on the camera disappeared. by setting i mean the radial buttons for DHCP was missing and the port was missing. every time i re-selected this information and rebooted the camera it would all disappear. so i just decided to power cycle it. wrong choice. now the camera just has a solid red light. i have the 1.14.04 firmware on the camera before all of this. so i did the reset by unplugging the power then placing a pin the the reset hole while i powered it on and waiting for the wps light to go out. i got the 192.168.0.20 to work and i reloaded the 1.14.04 firmware. No luck same issue. so i decided to reset it again and load the 1.01 firmware. Again no luck, only solid red light after site makes me wait 89 seconds while it loads the firmware. Is this thing DEAD?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?

I presume if the camera worked before that the change was in your networking configuration. You might go back to that networking configuration prior to the camera not working again after this change.

Im in the Central US. also the other camera that i had on the same network before and after the change is still working. i bought another camera, same model and all is well now. the broke on i left on one day and the red light would stay on for about 3 hours then the camera would reboot on its on and this kept repeating.
