I talk with support personnel they say that the dir855 is ipv6 ready, but the firmware with the ipv6 inside, is not ready yet.

Does this mean that they are working on and possibly also releasing a firmware with ipv6 support?!

Good news. Glad to hear that i won't have to buy a new router. ;D
Hopefully the firmware is finish soon.

This is great news, particularly in light of what I had previously been told.
Back in February (23rd) I contacted D-Link Support here in Australia asking about new firmware with IPv6 support. Their response was...
"Unfortuently the DIR-855 will/does not support IPv6 configuration(s)."

i called up dlink support today and talked with a lady on the phone about the future of the dir-855 getting a firmeware upgrade for ipv6 and she stated it will not be getting one and i would need to purchase the dir-825 to get ipv6 support.
this is a really huge let down that a lesser model would get the upgrade and the better model will not. i have been a loyal buyer of dlink routers for several years, but i am seeking for another brand that has better support. i would be more than willing to buy a new router if i was using a older one, but im using there top-end model.

Strange in the Netherlands they say there will be an ipv6 firmware update. An from what country are you?

Visited a shop here in Zurich. Seems like they still sell a lot of 855. Let's hope that Dlink still decides to support the top model with ipv6.
