Title: Cannot generate key for Google Drive account
Post by: Haldo on June 15, 2020, 08:25:33 AM
Hi all,
the generation of a key for the ShareCenter to access Google Drive is not working. The error is:
"Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app
This app has not yet been verified by Google in order to use Google Sign in."

By searching in the forum it seems that this issue has been around for long:

And supposedly firmware 1.07 should have fixed it:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=65670.0

But now it doesn't work (has it ever worked?).

I tried the following:
1. From the DNS-327L control panel, in the Google drive sync panel there is a "Get Key" button. Clicking there, after the choice of the Google account to use, I receive the error message above.
2. From Google security I tried to generate an app key (as I did a long time ago for the key to be used for the email notifications). This key doesn't work.

I don't have other options. I am in a kind of a hurry to enable the backup because of the new Cryptolocker that seems to affect the ShareCenter.

Thanks for your help.

I would contact D-Link support and see if this app is still supported by D-Link and Google. Possible that the app no longer works with Google.

Free support on this product has been discontinued.
I guess features will start to disappear...

I would presume so. Might check with Google to see if there are any changes.
Probably something that had limited time use during the DNS life cycle.

Good Luck.
