My current firmware version is IN_1.08
Downloaded the latest firmware(IN_1.10) from here(http://www.dlink.co.in/products/?pid=DSL-2750u (http://www.dlink.co.in/products/?pid=DSL-2750u))
Followed the instructions given here(http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webproc?getpage=html/index.html&var:menu=maintenance&var:page=firmwareupdate (http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webproc?getpage=html/index.html&var:menu=maintenance&var:page=firmwareupdate))
- Step 1: Obtain an updated firmware image file from your ISP.
- Step 2: Enter the directory of the image file in the following field or click "Browse" to select the image file.
- Step 3: Click "Update Firmware" to upload the new image file.
When clicking Update Firmware within 15 secs it redirects and gives an error Upgrade Failed ... Rebooting Router
Assistance needed.

Use IE or FF as a browser?
Do a factory reset first, then attempt to send the file, then if that works, do one more factory reset of the modem then set up from scratch.
-
Im using chrome
how do you reset the router, with the button underneath or through 192.168.1.1
-
Use IE or FF as a browse, do not use Chrome.
If you still have access thru the page, use that, if not, try the button. Then attempt to send the file using IE or FF. If it works and processes the file, do one more factory reset when the modem comes back to ready after the FW update completes, then set up the modem.
IF this fails, you'll need to contact your regional D-Link support office and inquire as to why this version is failing to update.

Does anyone know the change log of the firmware?
Also, if anyone has a way to reboot the modem via an external script or a program, please provide it here. See below post for solution.
Thanks.

I recommend that you phone contact D-Link support India and ask them for information on what is the changes for v1.10 since those have not been posted anywhere.

Hi,
I am also facing same issue,
Real reason for upgrading is for using USB storage feature, with current firmware version (IN_1.08) there is samba server but I cannot access it from Windows.
Let us know if you resolved your issue.
Thanks

Samba server is working for me with the same firmware (1.08), although plugging in a pen drive heated it a lot. Make sure the workgroup is the same as the windows one and tick both the options to enable usb access and to enable anonymous access. After that open network (if windows 7) and you will see dsl_route and will be accessible.

Thanks for sharing this info. Hope it helps others.

@FurryNutz: you are welcome, i hope so too.
If the share is not shown in Network list then try opening '\\DSL_ROUTE' in explorer (without '). Also, the share is read and Write enabled, meaning you will be able to move files and delete them like in a physically attached drive, so be cautious. I have tested with pen drives and external drives.
My requests:
1) How to reboot the modem through an eternal script or software?
2) Was anyone successful connecting and configuring USB 3g data cards or dongles?
For Dlink DSL 2750u, found an external way to reconnect through telnet scripting tool v1.0 by Albert Yale. Link: freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?ID=645
Here's the script:
192.168.1.1 23
WAIT "username:"
SEND "admin\m"
WAIT "password:"
SEND "xxxx\m"
WAIT
SEND "reboot\m"
WAIT
SEND "exit\m"
SEND "y\m"
Save the above in a txt file and create a bat file with one line as below:
C:\TST\TST10.exe /r:Reboot_Dlink_DSL2750u.txt
Change the names and paths accordingly. Tested works.
Thanks and Regards.

Issue is the FW from D-link site is meant for Hardware version C1 and not U1.
U1 has realtech processor so C1's FW wont flash to U1.
-
We recommend that you first phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask them which version of FW to use for updating DSL modems and confirm model Rev and FW versions to avoid any possible bad FW updates and bricking modems.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I cannot delete few files which are in MKV format from the drive attached to my 2750u. Windows shows that access is denied. Says need permission from 'DSL_ROUTE\root' How do I get this permission in Windows 10?

Try using the routers admin and pw log in information when connecting to the router.
