New Camera Setup
« on: August 06, 2017, 11:45:15 PM »

Dear Sir/Madam

I bought DCS-2630L Camera from Dlink Australia
I use it in Viet Nam.The first month, it works well with all functions.
Date 25/07 I read the news from mydlink website about updating Mydlink Cloud. At this time, my camera stopped working suddenly.
I try so many time to re-connect my camera to my My moderm. I read carefully about step to step to re-connect 2 devices
The connecting of camera to the Modem is OK, the Green solid led is on (not blink, solid). It is mean the connection process is complete. But the last process (STEP 3 Wait until the power led turns solid Green) did not
lead me to the final step which i can add password for my camera(The notice is : Cannot connect to camera, follow the setup guide to restore the connection)
I try so many time to sold this problem (I re-setup all of my home network, try another modem)
I read the information from Dlink forum to manual connect camera, but I only connect it to DSC-2630L wifi, I can not access to 10.255.255.1 to config my camera
Please help me

Link>Welcome!

  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What ISP Mfr and Model# do you have where the camera is connected at the remote location?

What I had to do was  to ENABLE the funcion: WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) on my Modem. That works perfectly. I think this is only aviable if your modem or router is 802.11N or above.

Thanks for posting this info. Yes WMM should always be enabled unless troubleshooting. It's QoS for wireless devices and works 99% of the time.

Hope this helps future users.
