Mr. FurryNutz although I'm not from USA hope you can shed light on my problem.
We have four units of DAP1360 installed one each floor. This specific mobile user is having problems with her connection to the DAP1360 which is having no internet connection.
- The DAP1360 in question has Firmware Version : 6.05,Wed,26,Feb,2014 and is configured as an AP, all AP's are connected to a D-Link Gigabit Switch DGS-1024D and is connected to a LinkSys LRT224 Dual WAN Gigabit VPN Router
- The mobile is a Samsung Grand Duos, she is just 3 - 5 meters away from the AP
- I also encountered connecting a Samsung Netbook (Win 10 Home x86) but also no internet connection. I have to change the IP configuration of the netbook to have an internet connection unfortunately the netbook should be configured to obtain an IP automatically instead of manually.
Is this a compatibility problem with D-Link and Samsung? Other Samsung mobile users have no problem at all, but at one time all Samsung mobiles can't connect to the internet while other android/IOS users can connect.
TIA for your reply.

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What region are you located?
What is the distance between each DAP on each floor?
What mode are you using the DAPs in? AP or Extender mode?
Is this for a home or business?
- What wireless modes are you using?
- 2.4Ghz Routers only: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
- Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
- Try setting a manual Channel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_channels) to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear. 13 for EU regions. Each DAP will need to be on separate manual channels and farthest channel apart.
- What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard), so you might want to try TPIK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporal_Key_Integrity_Protocol) only or Auto TPIK and AES.
- Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
- Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48327.0) to find out. How many?
Try swapping DAPs or moving DAPs around to see if the problem follows or not.

Yesterday while posting this question I changed the WPA Mode to WPA only and the Cipher mode to TKIP and so far no complaint as of this time. Is it okay using these WPA and Cipher mode it says it is less secure?
I'll try to borrow the Samsung netbook and try it to connect to the DAP-1360 again...
Thanks for your prompt reply FurryNutz... Thats a funny name

Using TPIK is acceptable. It's WEP that's not good.

Thanks a lot. BTW It seems I posted in the wrong thread. Please transfer this to DAP-1360.
