Hello,
sometimes one of the computers in our network uploads data at max speed (we think maybe it's a virus) and slows the internet a lot.
I see that on the monitoring tab how - it shows how many download and upload is transfered currently , the problem is that we cannot know what is the computer that do that, i've searched for this information and couldnt find it on router.
can you help me to find the computer that does that? i just need mac address or any information about which of the computers uses the bandwith?
best regards,
Liran.

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
How many PCs are on your network?
You'll need to do a virus or malware scan on each to find out what is found. I would also disconnect all computers from the router and then reconnect one at a time until you find the effected PC that seems to be doing this.

Thank you for your response,
HW version: G1
Firmware version: 1.0.0 (Default)
I have 8 computers/smart phones connected, i've tried to connect one by one,
still didnt find who is responsible to the issue because it happens rarely.
I just need the information how many bandwith each of the computers use, do you know if I can get this kind of information from the router?
It tells how many download and upload is used overall, but i need to know specific data on each computer.

No the router won't I believe.
You might check on installing some kind of bandwidth monitoring software on each PC and look at the logging there when it occurs again.
What region are you located?
I would keep track of when this happens, write down dates and times and see what each PC is doing during the occurrence.
I would get MalwareBytes loaded and scan ALL PCs. It's free to use.

I'll try what you have suggested, im from Israel.
Do you know of some kind of software that present bandwith of compouters connected to the same router?
that i can check everything from one pc, or the only solution is to check each one of the computers bandwith separatly?
Also I must tell you im amazed from your quick responses, service and professionalism, i can only wish other companies will learn from you in the future.

I would do a search online for bandwidth checking software. Should be something out there. Not sure if DUMeter is still available...
Hope we can help as best as we can.
