Just updatet from 2.0.3b1 to the new 2.03

After that funplug was nor working anymore. :-\
But after reinstalling with the "Basicinstallation"
http://nas-tweaks.net/371/hdd-installation-of-the-fun_plug-0-7-on-nas-devices/
funplug was ready again, also my additional packages are still there (lftp,mc,atop etc)
Also my Scripts inside the ffp Folder.

My Settings:sharings(smb, ftp), users, ddns, ip, upnp, ntp, email are OK

Now i well made some Benchmarks and report the next Days....

Updated from 2.02 official release to the new 2.03...DNS-320 purchased in UK

(a) Upgrade itself went smoothly (PC doing the upgrade connected to the NAS via Gigabit switch); whole process took around 4-5 minutes including rebooting after the firmware update was complete.

(b) Access to web UI and to CIFS shares appeared to be exactly as it had been before the upgrade (no loss or resetting of passwords etc., and no loss of files

(c) A few differences spotted in the web UI when logged in as 'admin'
i. The "Home" page now has a permanent shortcut to the web file server (labelled as "My Files") + an "add/remove" button for easily adding the application shortcuts to the "Favorites" list
ii. AjaXplorer appears to have been dropped; no longer shown as an icon in the "Applications" page (but it's still actually there...see bug report below...
iii. Mail setup page within the "Management" area now includes all the useful options for authentication and secure connection with the mail server.

(d) A few minor bugs/inconsistencies noticed in the web UI when logged in as a regular user..
i. "Home" button disappears if going to the "Applications" page. But it then reappears if entering the settings dialogue for one of the applications.
ii. AjaXplorer is shown (and still appears to be working) for the non-admin user; however "Amazon S3" (shown to the admin user) is not shown to the regular user.
iii. The button for "management" flashes when moving between pages (IMO cosmetic issue only; looks ugly, but the "management" screens do (correctly) appear to be out-of-bounds to the non-admin user.

Will leave the 2.03 firmware running and see how it behaves over the next few days...

Regards,
Richard

It's the same than the one that has been leaking for several months now. Why the hell did Dlink had us waiting all this time ?

Still doesn't work as a Time Machine backup server in OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion!  It just hangs the computer trying to do the backup.  How can D-Link release brand new firmware with such an obvious bug in a vital feature?

That's just embarrassing...

The fact that the release notes don't even mention it makes me question how much they actually even test these things before releasing them on us.

Heh, I was too kind... All AFP of any kind from OS X Mountain Lion hangs the client machine.  That's terrible!

Sorry, Im not having any trouble similar to yours ... two DNS-320 with v2.03 and two MB with Lion 10.8.2. and both of them start to make the backup... then continue and Myself stop it... (i dont want to compelte the backup because using TM in other NAS) (Thecus)

... but ... lets check.... Ill try to do a complete backup to check if ALL the process goes well (400GB need to wait).

Heh, I was too kind... All AFP of any kind from OS X Mountain Lion hangs the client machine.  That's terrible!

With this ....  any trouble with AFP conected to both my DNS-320īs confirmed.

Exactly what I am seeing, just hangs forever and never conntects. I can see the drives, but nothing in them. I suspect its apple at fault here, same as when they changed things Lion and broke TM, I didnt learn my lesson and upgraded too soon again.

I have tried this every which way, with two different OS X computers, and I can't connect over AFP.  This sucks.
