Hello,

I'm using DNS-320 with FW v2.03 for several weeks, and I don't notice any problem on the shares. PC Clients are 2 W XP Pro, 2 W 7 Pro, 1 W 8 Home. All the PCs are connected by wifi to a router and the DNS-320 is directly attached to the router.
I have two shares mounted from ISO images which are well used by PC clients.

The only problem I encountered is about offline files function in Windows : it works but causes mismatches in the directory tree of the DNS-320. I can't say if it's a bug or not.

Bye

Does anyone know if the torrentclient is changed in this firmware? Or does anyone know what client it is in the first place?

iTunes server not working with OS X 10.8 and iTunes 11.

Have you tried again? It didn't work at the beginning for me, but now its working fine on iTunes 11, but on Windows XP.

Seems quite likely since they have a wishlist of whats needed in future firmware.
The firmware ok but far from what it should be since some parts are not user friendly at all which is bad when its meant to be setup by the common person with little tech knowledge.

I recently bought a BP520 bluray player to view movies from the DNS-320.
The player used to stop playing movies after different times - different movies at different points.
But the same movie at the same point.  Confused the hell out of me.  I was blaming the player.
I spoke to LG today - they were saying it must be the NAS.
My new wireless router has built in NAS - I decided to use this to prove that the LG player wasn't working.
To my shock it works perfectly.  Looks like the DNS-320 NAS is the issue!
Anyone experienced anything similar?
I bought the player so that I didn't have to stream thru my PS3 - but ended up using it cos the player didn't work.
I hope someone is aware of this or will be now - And hopefully fix it in a newer version of FW.
I'm using DNS-320_fw_revAx_2-03b03_all_en_20121005 - (this fixed the itunes problems for me).
Can someone help please?
Thanks very much :)

Hi Everyone,

Just bought DNS-320 4 days ago and I upgraded the firmware right away (2.03). So far I found 2 issues here:

1. The Amazon S3 backup application. First time using it, it works (but no status text telling me its finish, error or something). But the second day, it's freeze (again no status text telling me whats wrong). I checked my Amazon S3, no files added. I googled and I'm not alone, please check this link:

https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?messageID=404320

Please...please fixed this issue.

2. Creating a schedule for SMART test not working, just appearing loading screen and thats it...no ending and I must refresh my browser.

So far my 4 days observation like that. Really appreciate it can be fixed in the next upgrade.

Thanks.

Hi,

I can't speak about Amazon S3. But I configured a SMART test one year ago and that works every night.
So, each morning I receive a mail informing of the result of the tests on each disk.
I'm sure that tests are correctly done because one of them failed (showing one disk was wrong) and I obtained confirmation by testing the disk outside of the DNS.

No other problem encountered.

Bye

I don't want to worry you but they already announced they are no longer supporting this model so I doubt there will be any further firmware unless we are lucky. I've been waiting years for them to fix time machine support, I've long given up.

So you mean there will be no updates? All that loonngg list about next feature enhancement just a waste? :(

Wouw...i need to pass this information to my fellow countrymen, cause in here, the product start to get our attention. Better they buy other product.

Thanks.
