Master Link for Emulators?
« on: March 19, 2015, 08:29:15 PM »

Hello,

I'm compiling a list of modem and router emulators, and would be very grateful for an FTP or HTTP URL for all DLINK hardware emulators. Unfortunately, entering http://support.dlink.com/emulators in my browser does not successfully open an directory where I can view emulators. I'm really looking for something similar to what Linksys provides on their site: http://ui.linksys.com/files/

Is there a centralized DLink emulator link I can use?

Thanks,
Brad

You can go to the support site and check on each product for there individual links. Some products ever had any emulation however.

There used to be a central location link for the emulators however since D-Link upgraded there web site a few years back, that link was removed.  :-\

That's a pity, as it creates quite a bit more work for me. I'm creating Intranet resources for the ISP I work for, and would love to have a simple list. If that's not possible, I will continue searching routers - specifically DIR 600 and newer - to add them to my list.

Regards,
Brad

Thanks for your work and feed back. At most, users can type in a model #### at D-Links support page and see if there is an emulator available. It's kind of a mixed bag I think on which models are supported. Some are, some are not due to similarities in the UI. Users can also review the User Manual for screen shots of what the UI looks like as well.

You can add the DGL series routers and the DIR-510L as well to your list.

Are you just compiling a list of routers only?

Hi,

We provide 'best-effort' support on all third party modems, routers and combination devices for DSL and cable Internet services, so the emulators are used by up to a dozen help desk agents daily as we interact with hundreds of customers 24/7/365.

I've started with the routers that we see most often in our daily work, but I'm very open to compiling information on all currently supported devices. (To make things easier, I've updated our internal Wiki by removing discontinued devices).

Thanks for your help - I look forward to adding more info to our support resources.

Please add to the list you created here and if you can compile a complete listing, we can post it as a sticky in our FAQ section for everyone to use...

Please include Hyper linked URLS to make the links more accessible.

Thanks. I've added the URL tags to the existing list. Will add more devices as they become available. Here's a couple to get started:
