new version of D-View Main Console.
« on: February 12, 2018, 11:21:14 PM »

signed up to post that I've installed a new version of D-View Main Console.

Been visiting this site fora few years, on and off, when ever I get caught out by a system upgrade or new computer.
The advice I've found here and the versions suggested and links provided have always helped. Until today.

A whole day and nothing could get D-Viewcam main console to come out of the UAC loop.
Almost gave up and did one last search. Looks like some generous developer out there is dedicating time to this still.

From an Australian site (so unable to confirm if it will work for NA or have your camera models supported, but if we have an updated version, you should i'd assume).  http://support.dlink.com.au/download/download.aspx?product=D-ViewCam
D-ViewCam DCS-100 v4.2.1 & Device Pack v2.2.14-20171116.zip (228.81 MB)
ftp://files.dlink.com.au/products/D-ViewCam/REV_A/Software/D-ViewCam_v4.2.1/D-ViewCam_DCS-100_v4.2.1_&_Device_Pack_v2.2.14-20171116.zip

First it has a new interface/skin.
Second... you DO NOT need to disable UAC. It just installs and works as it should.
Third: When you start the 'Patrol' of the tilt camera, it keeps patrolling in a loop. (something that took a bit for me to work out how to enable in past versions).

Hope this version can help some as the info I've found here over the years has helped me.

EDIT: I added to this old thread as it is one of the ones that show up when I google the problem.
I didn't search this site well enough and looks as if the new version is old news.
Here is a more recent discussion... http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=72945.0

Thanks for posting however you posted in a old post regarding old version 3.
DVC is already and now at version v4.2.1 here in the NA region:

I presume that these are regional SW versions and should not be used cross regionally as different regions support different model cameras. Not all camera models are available in each region as well.

Thank you.
