While the DCS-5222L is powered-up, press and hold the reset button for > 8 seconds with a paperclip. This procedure will reset the DCS-5222L to the factory default settings.

Thanks for your reply

I did it but only the power red light is lit (and not the green one with a "good" network cable)

After you reset the DCS-5222L, did you walk through the Setup Wizard?
Can you please provide a more detailed account of what happened and the steps you've already taken?

1) the DCS-5222l was working
2) I tried to update firmware
3) during the upload the connexion ended with timeout
4) Now I can't connect or ping the camera
5) I don't find it in the DHCP server or with 192.168.0.20
6) If I press and hold the reset button after the camera is power up : nothing change Red light but no green light
7 ) if I press and hold the reset button before i switch on the camera : i get the Green light but not the red light

Thank you for the clarification.

In many circumstances, if a firmware upgrade to a device fails during the write process, the device is rendered unusable and must be returned. This holds true for IP cameras, routers, and other devices subject to similar network disruptions during the upgrade process

This situation is most likely to occur if the firmware was uploaded directly to the camera through a wireless connection. The best way to upgrade firmware is to first download the file to a local PC and upload to the camera through a wired connection, minimizing the possibility of a network disruption.

After you perform the reset procedure, if the DCS-5222L is connected directly to your router (wired), are you able to access the web interface with your browser? I realize that you said the network cable is "good", but you should try another cable just in case.
