This connection is not private
« on: February 08, 2018, 09:02:29 AM »

Hola! How is everyone?
Question: I haven't been able to get into my camera settings. I was using safari and had no issues. Now, it tells me this connection is not private. When I say to continue it prompts me to change certificate.  I'm a bit wary of that. I already know there was an issue with Chrome, so I didn't try that yet. I tried Firefox and the plugin won't install!
Any ideas??

Thanks for any help in advance!

Try using x32 FF ESR version of there browser:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=66483.0

The standard FF browser is now blocking plug ins.

Thanks. I tried and the plugin is still failing.  :-(
Got rid of updated FF and uplayer plugins, downloaded ESR FF version and still unable to get plugin to install.

This is pretty sucky!

Is this using mydlink.com or directly logging into the camera UI?

Also what hardware and firmware version are you using on the camera?

Did you install the x32 version of FF ESR? Not the x64.

Thanks for your reply.
Using mydlink.com

Hardware version: A1
Firmware version: v1.05

Is this using mydlink.com or directly logging into the camera UI?

Also what hardware and firmware version are you using on the camera?

I meant to include that in my reply...I am downloading the mac version and it appears it's only 64 bit

AH, ok, I presume Safari will have to be your go to browser. It should load the plug in there.

What OSX version are you using?

That's ok. You can select and go past this.

I used to be able to get past whatever warning on safari WITHOUT having to provider admin username and password. This is the part that I am wary about.

That's ok. You can select and go past this.

Sometimes browser can store User names and PWs so when you visit a particular site, you don't have to always type in the values. This may have been cleared.

Could be debated if storing names and PWs is a security issue rather than always typing in the values.

I've always had to type in the user name and PW for my cameras.

I mean the computer's admin username and password.  You think that's normal?
